If you are going to be in Gig Harbor then how about we head to Tahuya?...

Yes? No?

Not 100% sure where that's at.... But if we go early enough.... I can catch an early ferry from Edmonds to Kingston.....

what time did you plan on heading out???

Hello chewey46 it appears that you have not posted on our forums in several weeks, why not take a few moments to ask a question, help provide a solution or just engage in a conversation with another member in any one of our forums?

Re: SW WA Wheelin' somewhere this Sat 12/23?

I haven't caught up with Will yet but here is a map of Tahuya, which is just outside of Belfair. It is only about 30 minutes from Bremerton...

Couple links for you.

Past events:
11-18-2006: Tahuya - WATTORA Forum

4x4 Trail Hunters - Tahuya State 4x4 Park

Map:

IF this is the spot of choice then we should probably meet at the Belfair Safeway by 9:00AM.

So, what happened to SW WA? This seems to be northern WA. I'd love go to, but the 23rd is out...we have Christmas spreading out over the entire weekend this year!

Mason County is SW in my book. Reiter Trails, Tonga Ridge, etc. not where I want to travel on a holiday weekend.

Hwy 3 shouldn't be that bad, its only 45 minutes North from Olympia and a half hour South of Bremerton... hey I'm still open to Shelton or somewhere around Rainier too, any suggestions? I'm real green on areas to wheel in the SW region as Capitol Forest and Straddleline OHV are closed for the season.

I am up for trails rated from 2 to 3 as I still need to get some more armor on the FJC, BudBuilt skids should be here for Christmas and a steel bumper and winch should be on before Ouray.

Not gonna pick nits here but Olympia/Shelton/Mason County are not SW Washington. Not that I really care how you label it, but when announcing a trip, it really should be geographically correct.

And, I would love to go, no matter how it's labeled but it's just too close to Christmas. We're going to do a little run up Washougal River road into the back country there on the 23rd after I get my oil change.

Us SW Washingtonians will be hooking up with you folks up north soon!!! Post pictures of the trip!!

Re: SW WA Wheelin' somewhere this Sat 12/23?

Vancouver would be Southern Washington, South Bend, Raymond, Tokeland, North Cove and Bay Center would be SW Washington, if you want to be technical about it. What's your recommendation for trails in SW Washington? You can't cheat & use TSF / Browns Camp they are in Oregon... I'm in the dark regarding anything in SW WA or South Puget Sound open during the winter months, need some guidance.

I would like to wheel somewhere within 45-50 miles of downtown Olympia and Tahuya is pushing that limit...

Chewey46 is the only taker for this weekend?... send the significant other to finish Christmas shopping and lets go wheel!!!!

Actually, we are SW WA. Southern corner of the state on the west side. SW.
