Texas ranks first among the 50 states as the largest emitter of greenhouse gases. The state's annual carbon dioxide emissions are nearly 1.5 trillion pounds. Texas would be the world's seventh-largest producer of greenhouse gases if it were its own country, emitting more carbon dioxide than France, the United Kingdom, or Canada.
Gotta luv those AK plates, I had mine on for the entire 4yrs I was at college in Cali. I drove a VW Rabbit GTI and when going up to Tahoe for skiing, they never required me to put chains on We should be seeing more FJ's up here, the local dealer had about 12 on the lot when I bought mine 2 weeks ago and judging from a radio ad I heard a couple days ago they may be accepting invoice price or slightly below by now.
Can anyone recommend a place in Anchorage to get sliders and skid plates? Possibly a front bumper as well. Ordering online is great for small stuff, but shipping costs on larger items kind of sucks.
I am also from Alaska. I bought my FJ about 1 month ago and I love it, though I already have five window chips. ARRGG!! I heard of a product that they can put on you windshield and it guarantees no cracks. Has anyone ever used this?
Alaska, what a cool place to own an FJ!!!! Was there once on a (road) motorcycle tour (Anchorage to Fairbanks and back) and all I was thinking when I was there was that I wished I had a 4x4.
All you'd need to do would be to bring along all the recovery and survival gear (including the proper firearms) you can carry and figure out how to strap on an extra 100 gallons of gas and you could be gone just about FOREVER!!!!

I'm going to have to check them out too. I've got two small cracks in two days. I guess it's to be expected though with winter coming and the sand trucks out now. I've also been driving a lot between Anchorage and Seward (125miles each-way) lately so I guess I shouldn't be surprised.
***make that 3 in 3 days, it's going to be a long winter ***
