Re: Alaska Owners?

I think it is just you....a quick question for you; How do you cope with living in darkness 24/7 during the winter? Much props to the mad Alaskans that can handle that!

The darkness isn't too bad i mean it still gets light out outside its jsut the dark hours start around 5 or 6 pm till about 8 or 9 am but thats anchorage, but the summers are the best doesn't get dark really its just like the sun is on the horizon for about 3 hours then its out again so its not too bad plus if you're into the outdoors you'll love it here:wink:

Re: Alaska Owners?

Kind of far away for you to spot me. I saw an FJ all decked out with an ARB bumper and lights, right outside Humpy's.

Re: Alaska Owners?

I have a buddy that just drove up there to Fairbanks, Alaska. He's up there for a month clearing his property. For those of you that remember, it was the 60 that had the head gasket issue. If you see him up there, stop him and tell him hi from Ed (egecko)! Don't worry, he's a good guy!

Re: Alaska Owners?

Man I miss Alaska! I pretty much grew up in Anchorage. We're going back up next summer. I would love to drive back up the AlCan, but we're just not going to have enough vacation time... oh well.

Cheers to the Alaskans!

Re: Alaska Owners?

I was surprised to see as many FJ's as I did when I was in Anchorage a few weeks back. Take a drive through downtown, you might be surprised too.

What did you buy/are going to buy? I saw a Black Cherry on the lot with a after market (Warn ?) bumper when I was there. I didn't stop to see if it was new/used, just smiled as we drove by.

What a great city you have! Welcome to the board--lots here to learn. Great people, too. Be sure to post some winter pictures of your rig playing in the snow!

nic

I miss Bird Creek and Moose's Tooth Pizza...such good fun...
