Brookings, OR and Harris Beach

Hey all up there in OR or WA or NorCal....

Im heading up north to visit with friends and get together at Harris Beach near Brookings, OR - on the coast. Brookings is just up the road on 101 from the OR-CA. Would anyone happen to know anything about the area, Harris Beach and especially any trails around that area?

Just a stab in the dark but thought Id put it out there and see if anyone knows something interesting to enhance my trip up there!

Thanks!

Sorry dude,

I haven't been that far South on 101... If you keep heading North to about Coos Bay, you can get some great dunes...

I read this before also, never been to that neck of the woods. The Oregon Dunes are about 100 miles north, there is some good wheeling there.

Hey bill...I've been to Florence for a family reunion (in-laws) once and rode some dune buggies on those dunes, can you drive 4x4's there as well?

Google and you shall receive!

Thanks for asking the question Cali. I would never have found this otherwise. Looks like the closest thing to you will be the "McGrew 4WD Trail". They say it is for the "very experienced driver"... Doesn't sound like a stock FJ to me...

Hey CaliFJ...

I wish we could come down for some FJing fun. We have some friends that do the McGraw trail. You could post on the Oregon Bush Hackers board (http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/obh/). They have members all over the world, and are very helpful about suggesting good trails.
