Co2

For those of you who use CO2 systems where do you get your tank filled? I got in on the PowerTank group buy and was curious what others went with.

I'm particularly interested in locating a distributor who can do a fill in less than a day. So far I've hit the big boy: Polar Cryo, BOC, AirGas, but they all take about three days.

Thanks.

Re: Co2

Steinbarts will fill your CO2 bottles while you wait. They are a beer makers store. They might be more expensive, But if you want it the same day you have to pay. They are in between Sandy and Burnside (east side) around 10th. Hope this helps.

Re: Co2

I've heard paintball stores will fill it pretty much while you wait. Has anybody found a paintball place around here?

Re: Co2

Yeah, I tried Airgas here (welding shop), but they send all their stuff out, takes 3 days, and even they recommend not using their service for custom fill stuff.

Steinbarts is 234 SE 12th Avenue. I'll head over today and report back. Thanks for the tip!

Mmmm, beer, grains, malts, malt extracts, hops, candi sugars, spices and additives. Maybe I'll report back tomorrow - may be busy today!

Re: Co2

Well, went to Steinbarts - no joy. The largest they will fill is 5#. I'll keep looking.

Re: Co2

I'm going to give ABC Fire Extinguisher a try. They told me it would only take a few minutes for $22 (10-lbs). A bit higher than average, but I too didn't want to wait three days for Air-Gas to rotate my tank in.
