Hey there,
Taking my rig in for 15k service today, want to make sure there aren't weird unknowns before heading to Colorado. I got to wondering....who do we trust out there? Is Beaverton Toyota ok for service?
Better mechanics out there?
I like Leonards Off Road for suspension, gear and goodies... but who works on the rest besides the stealership?
Also another question guys i put 93 gas on my FJ in colorado they only have 91 would this change anything in my fj should i do something before doing this change?

I like Gresham Toyota for service. I've always had good luck there. I use my local dealer in The Dalles because it's close and convenient, but it's not up to par with Gresham. The service counter people were great and so was the service. Nothing left dirty, missing, half-done...and they actually call you when your rig is done or if they have questions! (I know, novel idea, huh?) I'd totally recommend them...and would be going there myself if it didn't take an hour each way to do so. Don't confuse Gresham Toyota with the Toyota dealership on 122nd. I don't like them.

It would be great if I had a clue, but let's face it, that's just not gonna happen.

I wouldn't worry about the gas. Unless you are towing a load or it's crazy hot out...or a combination of the two, you should be alright. Besides, 91 octane is better than regular.

I'm impressed with the less-than-10-minute-response time!
Online reviews also indicated Broadway sucks. I couldn't find anything besides sales comments for Beaverton.
Beaverton called me just now and said it was ready and waiting. So far so good... I had synthetic oil waiting in the front seat for them, hope they used it
If you didn't get it yet, this may be your last shot at a free front end alignment (see 'Owners Warranty Information' guide p. 9), covered for 12M/20K.
The magic words I've used to get the free alignment are "it wanders in a straight line at highway speed, constant throttle, level road, all tire pressures set to factory". The dealer won't bother test driving it on the freeway.
Otherwise, another vote for Gresham Toyota. They cover the seat and wheel in plastic and leave bottled water and candies in the console. Tonkin is also good but slower and will often attempt to upsell something.
All metro dealers are running a $24.95 LOF special this month. Gresham knocks $10 off that because I bring my own oil. Can't beat that.
Tonkin is awesome. They aligned to my specs and have always bent over backwards to take of us. They're super friendly, but their shop is busy because they offer such good service so they can be a little slower at times. Sales was great but their service is even better.
