NWFJCC August Run - Surf-n-Turf

AUGUST RUN: August 18/19, 2007
Surf -n- Turf Run

WHERE: Richland/Pasco, Washington
CB Channel: 4
GMRS: 20/20
RUN LEADER: Jim

RUN PLAN: Meet in Troutdale and then head to Richland, Washington. We'll then set up camp at the Richland Sprint Boat Track (camping is free), and then head out to Juniper Dunes north of Pasco. Saturday night, we'll watch the USSBA Jet Sprint Boats race into the night. Sunday morning, we will head back out to Juniper Dunes for another run and then head back home from there.

DIFFICULTY LEVEL: 1-3.1, depending on what trails we run. There will be many side-trails and steep hill climbs for those brave enough to attempt. Juniper Dunes has zero facilities. It's dry, hot sandy and dusty. Bringing pets is NOT recommended. Bring bucketloads of water.

I was just about to say yes to this one but...I go where Mollie goes Unless I can bring my dog or find a sitter, I may have to sit this one out

Sounds good, how long of a drive from PDX?

3 1/2 hours to the race track. Juniper Dunes is about 30 minutes from the track. Did not see any rock gardens.
