Okay folks, go ahead and chuckle! What is a good to best axe and shovel to get? Any brand in particular you suggest I get? As for the hi-lift, I guess that is the concensus around here...
Axe: Gerber or Fiskars are good-small and efective.
Shovel: I like true temper-gerber and glock both make resonable a folding type. Oh yeah, welcome to the mod madness!

Thanks for the info, I'll go check it out in a bit! I thought there were some kind of axe & shovel made souly for wheeling but I guess not.
Friskars and Gerber are both good. You want chips flying when you're taking down a tree but if you haven't used an axe before, be very careful because you can take down your own leg.
My favorite shovel features a short handle, T-handle yoke grip and a sharp point (as opposed to a squared off point). There are lots of those on the market. Something that can move dirt and rocks. The grip provides added leverage.

I've never really used an axe so I will be practicing at my in-laws because they have loads of trees to chop down.
I never thought about the shovel much, but will take your consideration when looking for one, thanks!
