Need Advice OME Lift or Skid Plates

Hey Guys and Gals

Ok my question is, if you have the choice between a 3'' OME Lift or All Pro Skid plates. Which one would be the best to get first? I am running 265 Discovery Coopers for tires at this time. And the rest of the FJ is stock. Feel free to put your 2 cents worth in I am here to learn.

I'd go with the lift. You'll be amazed at how much better the FJ handles on the road and off. No more nose dives at stop signs or body roll as you go through turns.

Plus you get a couple more inches of ground clearance. The average height gain is 2-2.5 inches. Some got 3", but I've not seen that in person.

I just installed the MED OME 895/885 and I'm glad I did.

I'd go with the OME. If I remember, you still have your stock skid plate (just a bit dented <grin>) and your stock rock rails, however they're still functional so stick w/ that for a bit. I've pretty much spent what I saved for so I'm done for the year (so I think )

-285/70/17 Cooper Discovery
-3" OME heavy front & back
-Predator rock rails
-TRD Exhaust
-AirRaid Intake
- bunch of tools for wheeling

Ok looks like I will be going with the OME lift. Next question, I plan on getting an ARB bumber at some point so should I do the med or Hvy? And Is there any one near kent who has any know how on installing an OME lift kit or should I have it installed at a 4x4 garage?

I was told by my buddy whom I got ALL of my parts and installed from said that the guy he ordered directly from ARB/OME is that either go light or heavy. He didn't really recommend the med's. I plan to get front and back bumpers eventually so I went w/ the heavy. I really like the arb bumpers, however, I'm a bit dissappointed that the rear bumper wasn't made to reinstall your reverse sensor on it
