Re: Oregon Dunes in August?

Is the plan for Sandlake or one of the areas farther south?

Re: Oregon Dunes in August?

Okay so what's the plan? Who's spear heading BC trails? I've never been there so I've no idea what to expect. Hopefully it's not as tight as Naches

This thread is all over the map!
Lets try to make some sense of it.

1) Some people are looking to Browns Camp, not the Oregon Dunes as in - the thread title. If you want "BC" I suggest this thread Browns Camp this Weekend

2) I am up for Sand Lake in August. I'm not particular which day. I do advise bringing a fire extinguisher and a really tall whip with a flag since you will be ticketed for lack of either on the dunes.

3) Street of Dreams this weekend, plus I just got all my paint chips and pinstripes repaired so I'm giving it at least a week before I put the scratches back in it.

4) If BDFJ can make the 25th at Sand Lake, it has my vote. Make it a NWFJCC run so he can get some new website material! We'll get some pictures of an FJ in midair.

Thanks for the link regarding BC, sorry if posted this in the wrong thread. Where do you get the flag at? I thought I found a site that sells flags but I can't remember the site name for the life of me. I'll get a fire extinguisher at Joe's and I guess I'll have to buy another FourTrek mount for the extinguisher, my gawd, another gear to buy, this can get addicting!

I actually felt guilty until I went to the summit and saw what the real crazy's are throwing toward FJ gear

Not sure on the flag, but I think as long as you have the whip antenna part you can get flags close to the beach.

Once again, thanks for the link info, never realized all the rules and regs regarding sand/dune/beach rules.

Re: Oregon Dunes in August?

For flags go out to MotoSport Hillsboro - Honda Suzuki Kawasaki KTM Kymco. They have a lot to choose from. I mounted mine in the center of the spare, like so with a piece of flat stock bent like a L.

Okay I found that site that also sells flags. I remember seeing it on Corey's site. Gotta give credit where credit is due!
