i2oadi2unnei2 and I are heading up to lolo pass area to test my new rock rails.
If anyone else wants to tag along let us know.
My FJ is not lifted, I am still running the stock tires and I have no problem getting around up there. I have been 3 times and am getting familiar with the trails and would be happy to show others the fun trails that I have found.
I have a Garmin legend with all the trails loaded plus maps of the whole area.

I say we should meet others at 9 am in Welches at the 76 station.
You and I should meet somewhere closer at 8 am so we can drive out together.
That works for me because I've no idea where Welches is at! Oh yeah, I can't seem to find that site w/ that collapsable tent, can you give me that url again please?
Sounds interesting. For the shooters here, there's a legal shooting area just off the 'road' about halfway to Lost Lake. I can't commit just yet, more later. Can you post a marked up route map? Thanks...
I go shooting all the time up there. I thought it was legal as long as you did not shoot across any roads and you were 50 yards off the road. I hope I have not been braking any laws.
I have the map saved on my home computer . I have never tried to post one but I will see if I can upload it.
The road to laurence lake is open so I made a route to get there. The Forest service website says it has been washed out and to use caution. Sounds like fun to me.

The only regulations specific to use of weapons imposed by the Forest Service is that you cannot discharge a weapon within 150 yards of any structure/development or occupied area, within or into a cave, across or on a road or body of water, or in any manner that endangers a person. You also cannot use any tracer or incendiary ammunition. Forest Service regulations require that you also comply with all State laws regarding the use of firearms while hunting.
I pulled this off the Forest Service website. I was worried there for a moment.
