Solo rubicon trip.

Nobody wanted to hit the trail with me. (Long drive from WA) So the wife and I ran it solo. We had a blast. Took two leisurely days. First day we drove to buck island lake, we swimming, hiking and just plain goofin off. Second day we drove to Rubicon Springs to talk to the caretaker, and then we drove out of the trail on the Tahoe side.

Loon Lake Entrance to the trail.

Airing down getting ready to head in.

The wife happy to be in the granite bowls.

Through the granite bowls, loon lake in the background.

Ruthie, telling me not to drive through little sluice.

So we took the bypass to the bypass to little sluice.

On the slabs overlooking Buck Island Lake

Cooling off at Buck Island Lake.

Playing cards at Camp.

Mmmmm. Breakfast. Matt will appreciate these tasty links

Re: Solo rubicon trip.

Playing on the rocks by our camp.

One of the slabs before big sluice

We stopped at Rubicon Springs to BS with the caretaker before heading up Cadillac Hill.

This corral is made up of broken Jeep parts

Starting up Cadillac Hill

About the middle of Cadillac Hill

Having fun at the top, just before observation point.

Poser shot at observation point.

Re: Solo rubicon trip.

We stopped at Miller Lake to wash the trail dust off. And cool down a bit

My fabulous 'Do after the swim.

On the way home, somewhere in Oregon, I wish I had brought my Kilt

And we saw this on the way home too. This guy had 3 hot tubs crammed in the back of his
Dodge Dakota Pickup. It's a crappy picture but you get the idea.

Hello chewey46 it appears that you have not posted on our forums in several weeks, why not take a few moments to ask a question, help provide a solution or just engage in a conversation with another member in any one of our forums?
