For those of you that met my oldest son...

Here is last years Defensive MVP for 2006.
Quite the stud.
This is Gordon's portrait picture from yesterday.(I was priviledged to get the contract to shoot all 5 football teams and Cheer, 276 total!)

In 3 weeks of practice, he has earned:
1st string Offensive Guard
1st string Linebacker (no doubt the hardest hitting kid on the football team, and that's from a neutral perspective on the subject!)
1st string Special Teams players (I pity the kid that gets the kick-off return ball if he runs to Gordon's side of the field...seriously...)

We're pretty proud of him as you can see. He's now 105 lbs (109 lbs with equipment) With his weight, he just barely made this team. 1 more pound and he would have had to move up to the next higher weight group!

First game Sunday!

Re: For those of you that met my oldest son...

so if we get an autographed photo now, can you imagine what it would be worth when he makes MVP for an NFL team? ok ok...maybe looking too far, don't want to jinx it.

Good work! I remember playing both sides of the ball...you have to be really dedicated especially getting into the higher grades.

Congrats to him!

He is going to have a good time with the girls / ladies as he grows older

Good to see kids doing sports or having good hobbies. Idle kids are trouble.

Hell, his cell phone has 3 different girls calling him today, last year he had a beautiful little "stalker" that would wait to talk to him after his games!

Hah, I remember my dad's talk well - he handled it cool - just told me to avoid having a kid while I was still in high school and a few other things.

I was on the ski team, and also on the varsity wrestling team.

Re: For those of you that met my oldest son...

Thanks Yankeefan. He's available and I'll let him marry young...but I warn you, he eats like a horse and has got a smart mouth at times. 11 going on 16....

Cameron, I can understand the ski team thing, but groping another guys groin while turning him over on his back is a sport I'll never understand. Both kids tried it last winter, it was 3 long months of all saturday "all-day" tournaments where they might get 3 matches if they were lucky. They don't want to do it again, and I can't blame 'em.

Of course I'm joking, wrestling gets you in great shape and is a good "off-season" sport for football players, but I got my kids doing other sports in the off-season this year.
