Those BORING Stories

OK it's not even September yet, and I've been inundated at work, and now I'm seeing those BORING, repetitious, same ole song and dance hunting season stories here on this forum.

I got nothing against hunters, in fact I hope ya bag all the flea-bitten, disease carrying varmits you can handle.

I just don't understand why hunters think anyone else but another hunter would be interested in how many tags you have, how many you saw, how many you missed, how many good shots ya got off, how many days you have spent making your own loads, how many shot guns you have, and how long it took ya to gut the carcass, and how far ya had to drag the meat.

Oh and how many steaks, burgers, back straps ya got out of it, and "do I want any? " If I wanted some, I'd a been there! I've had it (several different times & ways cooked by several different cooks and recipes) and I still don't care for it. I don't like liver either, or squid, or seaweed, or brussel sprouts, or hominy, or grits.... no matter how you cook them or try to disguise them. So it's not just venison.

Fall, particularly October, used to be my favorite time of the year.............. but I gotta be honest with ya folks, with the hunting stories starting already, I'm even startin' to dislike September.

And Oh Good Lord!!!!!!!!!! We have all of November and part of December to listen to all the new stories.

Thank the good lord football is starting in 2 weeks!

Sorry hunters, just thought you might wanna know, that even though we sit there and listen to the hours of entertainment, you might want to take a clue from the "glazed over" look in our eyes.
