I was in the Bremerton area and thought I would swing by Tahuya. Heard they had a couple trails up there I can hop on solo. Had my brother with me so I got him to snap some pictures for me.

Did you do the north loop or south loop??? Kinda looks like the north loop.
I took the first left as I was coming into the park. Heard the other one was harder. There was some parts that were a little slim but I did make it unscathed. If you hadn't noticed I started the trail with my bike rack still on my hitch, oops! I took it off after climbing that first hill to get on top.
Has anyone done the trails in Olympia? I heard those are pretty long.

Oh actually, I think that is the north trail...... I believe the north trail is the harder of the 2......
But I always say, don't let facts get in the way of a good story!!!!!

I'll cross post here when the South Sound Cruisers head up there in November when it's nice and wet. Let me put it this way, after a wet October you really get to put the 27.5" water fording depth to the test... Not really but I was close to the top of my wheel last year!
The South loop is quite a bit tougher and will make you pucker is spots with a stock FJC especially if the QuadraPaws dug it out again this Summer. I heard they were going to try to create an even more challenging section down in the South Loop area.
After you take a left onto the main ORV trail stay to the left until you come to a forest service road where you will continue south passing by the rock garden... That is the beginning of the south loop.

You mean Capitol Forest? It has 575 miles of forest service roads...
The Rock Candy Mountain entrance has the most appealing area to 4WD, there are a few areas of mud and some slightly challenging power line roads but for the most part it is all forest service roads and a couple very small somewhat challenging hills, axle breaker hill for example. It's close to home for me and a place to unwind off the pavement... Let me know if you want tour of Tahuya or Capitol Forest as they are my stomping grounds so to speak.
