Anybody Live In Auburn, WA??? Trying To Find A Log Cabin Where My Mom Lived!

I'm currently down in traveling in Charleston, OR but my mom will be flying out to visit for 3 weeks in October. She grew up in Auburn, WA and hasn't been back there in over 50 yrs. My grandfather built a log cabin there on the side of a rather large hill. Mom says the locals called it "cemetary hill" but mom is fairly sure little if nothing at all is still standing.

I guess what I'm trying to do is see if anybody is familiar enough (with the area that with a bit more info that mom remembers about the specifics of the area) that might be able to check the area out to see if any remnants of the house are still there. Again, I can get more exact specifics about the area from her (although she was 10 yrs old when they left so her memory is a bit cloudy).

If there were any remnants of the place, I wanted to make the 6 + hour drive to let her see it. As stated earlier she hasn't been there in over 50 yrs and her mom just past away a few months ago and she is having a difficult time getting some closure to her death, albeit she was 93 yrs old. Long story short - I'd just like to do this for mom. She always talked about the beauty of the area and I think between some info from her and mom's oldest sister I may be able to give a fairly close enough description that someone could maybe scout it out for me and see if this place is still there or if even the area is accessible.

Thanks So Much,
Cory

I live in Renton & used to work in Auburn. You should try using Windows Live Maps - or Google Maps to get an arial shot. You could probably see if that cabin is still there without getting into your FJ
