Last weekend I was took my cousins out to Reiter's (Gold bar, WA) for the first time. We drove around the power lines. Said they wanted to take their vehicles "off-road." One had a jeep and the other had an Xterra. Don't really know what exactly happened but the Xterra tipped over. So we got the tow strap out and hooked it to the roof rack of the Xterra and the rear of my FJ.
*Yes, Eric, I had to tell this story.
Here goes some pics.
The only damage to the Xterra was a bent up nerf bar and a broken side mirror. Guess it was such a slow "fall" that the side view housing kept the Xterra up.
Glad to see he only suffered minor damage. Like everyone else has said I dont think I would use a roof rack to right a vehicle. Could have caused some uneeded damage.

Nice pic's, Great use of the FJ, should have kept pullin it over the other way (dont like Nissan's)
I'm sure this was meant in good fun. However, to me wheelers are wheelers and I would take help from anyone I can when needed. No matter how I feel about the vehicle they drive. I would also help anyone I could on a trail. Where I ride it is mostly Jeeps (CJ, XJ, YJ, TJ's) and with the exception of the Rough Country rig I am the only one here who takes my FJ off-road. They usually look at me funny if they dont know me until they see the truck in action. I have been the source of many a bet. My point is.......to those who are new to the off-roading, this is how it should be done on the trails and remember Karma is a B****.

I sold my Xterra when I bought the FJ. I don't know the situation here, but my stock Xterra felt very top heavy compared to my FJ. The FJ feels much more stable than my Xterra.

I still would have and always will help out another wheeler if in need. But, I still would have gave them crap about the situation and said "Should have bought an FJ" (Got to be able to flip another wheeler sh*t and joke about it with them, all in fun and with good intentions)

Yup, gotta give em $hit. I would expect the same if I was the one on my side.
Was'nt trying to call you out or anything like that. I was pretty sure you were just poking fun. It just gave me an opportunity to bring up something that I feel is very very important that new wheelers understand.
