Terahex thanks for the welcome!

I was wondering how Brown's camp is. Good trails? Or just wide flat fire/logging roads?
Yes some good trails and a few man made rock crawls. There are also logging roads abound, but they lead to the trails. Good stuff and worth the trip.

The Cascade Cruisers are planning a trip up to Naches (SP?) WA for the 4th of July. Not sure if its the week before or after, for this year. This is an anual trip for the club to do. Close to home for you I would think!?

Oooohh, Brown's Camp looks cool! Most of that is beyond what I've done, but it looks like there are a lot of options. That Cascade Cruisers website is great! I may have to join just to get together with some folks that wheel.

This is what is cool about wheeling with others that know the trail or a club. You have experienced spotters and people who help on the trail. I know some of the photos on the club web site are hard core looking wheeling, its not like that all the time. There are runs that are more family friendly! This last year we did a bon fire trip down at Tillamook on the dunes. Those who wanted to wheel could and those who wanted to just hang out could as well.

Browns Camp area in Tillamook State forest is a great place to go. There are some nice trails around Bend as well. The local Toyota LandCruiser Association, club for Oregon the Cascade Cruisers (Cascade Cruisers Of Oregon) go up there quite often. There is one Yellow FJC in the club, but I don’t know if she will wheel it. The club meets every 3rd Thursday at Busters BBQ in Tigard, meeting starts at 7 PM but most show up early for dinner. (back party room) All are welcome.

As a club we are talking about a doing a Badger lake run on the side of Mt. Hood. This would be a real friendly run for people new to off roading.

Mark
I know this was awhile ago, but did you guys ever get up to Badger Lake? If anyone has been to Badger Lake with their FJ, I would love to hear about it before I trek up there. Thanks.

I have been wanting to do the Barlow Trail for awhile now, but form my understanding it isn't clear of snowpack until June or so. That and there have been reports of non-passable trail washouts.

My friend mentioned the snow. When I mentioned the Barlow Trail at work another guy said he and a friend ran it about 10years ago and it took them 2 days. He mentioned having to cross a couple of streams. Those could be unpassable washouts by know.

I'm still curious. On to the breather mods lol

Re: Portland area going off road?

I'd be up for a 2 day excursion!

We should do a "breather mod" install day...
