The install is happening as I post, but there are some fitment issues of the hood latch bracket and electric pump for the front mount intercooler due to my All-Pro front bumper (the winch spool is right were the pump should mount).

If a new bracket/mounting point can't be created, I may remove the winch (I never used it in the year i've owned it, I'll use the S/C everyday)

Hoping to be driving it later this afternoon, I'll keep you tuned!

Re: Picking up a TRD supercharger tommorow!

I can't wait to hear if everything worked out. I am curious to find out about your fit issues. I am having mine installed Friday and I have a Warn bumper with a Warn Dualforce winch. I will NOT be removing it so I will have to make it fit somehow. It looks like I will have plenty of room for a intercooler but I guess I will find out soon...I did remove my TRD CIA this weekend to get ready for it as the dealer will only install it with the stock intake for warranty purposes.I will post pics and give a report.

I think you'll be ok with fit, the All-Pro bumber recesses deeper and the back of the winch ends up 2-3" from the A/C condenser.

I have a strange feeling that the dealer will have to drop the bumper for your install.

Our local Toyota Dealer let me leave my TRD CAI in place!
But I pulled the Unichip out so they will re-map the stock ecu, then I'll re-install it when I have it dyno-tuned.

My service guy called last night to say they needed today to finish, the Mech wants to make it a perfect install and not rush it.

I can't wait!

I sure hope they don't have to remove my Bumper, Winch, and lights. That will add too much to the install time. I am also surprised that your dealer let you keep the CIA. I checked with four dealers in the Seattle area and they all said that if I wanted the CIA on, I will have to put it on after I left the dealership. From what I have read it seams like the only issue is for tuning. I think...How long is the install taking? and how can you stand waiting???

If you open the install kit and look at instructions, the hood latch bracket may need bumper removed a lower mounting point. Not sure with the ARB.

My serice guy really likes me 'cause I bought the FJ to wheel. He fits me in for service before every road trip and really goes the extra mile. They have some pics of my rig in Moab hanging somewhere in the office.

They estimated 7 hours, hope it stays in that ballpark.

Waiting is tough, but I'm workin days and nights this week so I don't have much time to think about it.

I'm calling PDX Dyno today to set an appointment. Will post pics and results as soon as possible.

Re: Picking up a TRD supercharger tommorow!

Well I picked my Cruiser up at 7 this morning, took some pics but can't seem to upload to the PC.

The install went smooth, with the one exception being the electric pump for the intercooler.

The tech ended up mounting it on the front of the inner steel wheel well, with the power lead hanging down to a point where it possibly could be vunerable.

I'll have to fab a protective bracket and possibly carry a spare.

Now the first impression..... Very quick, I hit 50mph in what seemed like 2-3 seconds.

The enginge "whirrs" when you get on it, and with the traction control off, my m/t's spin. There is the slight feeling of the front lifting and being pulled back into your seat.

After the short and quick drive home, the supercharger and intercooler were only slightly warm to the touch.

Still trying to set a dyno/tune appt.

Post more soon,Bill
