I know, that's what they told me too. It would be nice to get some kind of information, maybe a tracking number or something.

i dont know if you got the TRD exhaust---you probably won't know either till it shows up. I have a feeling they will say "well heres a blue one with blah blah blah, do ya want it- or wait some more?" (then they will call me next with the rejected rig offer...lol)
I have a shop in Burien and I'm going to craft some true duals for it---maybe you will want something like that?
We'll see what happens....

I hope that's not the way that it goes down, but who knows. I didn't request the TRD exhaust so I don't think mine will come with it. I'll keep you in mind for any mods that I might be looking to have done on my FJ. Thanks for the info, man.

Wink Re: Your Northwest Dealerships???

Got mine from Downtown Toyota. I wanted a blue-they had a yellow-so they did a swap with Parker. Was told it had one of the upgrade packages so imagine my suprise when I went to pick up my FJ with only convenience package. Shane screwed up! It did have skid plate, rock rails, and upgrade wheels. Parts would not give me a break on a roof rack.(sorry, but our manager insists we charge MSRP) Glad now as Gobi rack and ladder are on order.

Re: Your Northwest Dealerships???

The only thing I hate about going with an FJ - and I will - is that I have to deal with a stealership, gawd I hate them all and their corny BS. I may buy one off Ebay or AutoTrader just to avoid having to deal with them, I hate them that much. Broadway Toyota in Portland is supposed to be decent - they will even price you out a truck over the phone. Brokers are no good, because there is still too much demand - brokers get you good deals on trucks that stealerships want to turn over fast.

Went by Broadway Toyota today - they have an FJ come in - a guy bought it within a half hour .....

Toyota of Puyallup was great bunch of guys, really went out of there way to make the process work.
I would go back again.
I would second this statement. Everyone there did a great job of being honest and upfront in their dealings with me, plus I paid MSRP which I consider a good deal on a vehicle that is in such high demand.

Angry Re: Your Northwest Dealerships???

Here's a heads up....Have spoken to most dealerships in Oregon and finally getting to the Gladstone dealership, they quoted me the price at MSRP (as most Oregon dealerships are doing, best I've heard of is $100 off through Costco at Albany and Eugene), but once I was pretty sold that I could get one in 3 weeks they let me know there is a manadatory $499 package that has to be on it called their "trim package" which is pinstriping. He flat out told me it was a $35 job but demand is high so they can get it. I said no way and he called me back to come in and negotiate but then the manager said everyone has to have this package, so that wasted my time. So there is a heads up that you can get it from another dealership in Oregon just as easily so DON'T go to Gladstone and waste your hard earned money. I have like Broadway Toyota, Eugene, and Beaverton.

Re: Your Northwest Dealerships???

Eeek! Even if it was free, I wouldn't take pinstriping...
