Two Sunday runs...

Over on the NWFJCC site I posted a request for folks who might want to join me either the 13th or the 20th. Both Sundays. The 13th in GPNF (north of Stevenson, WA), and the 20th to Tahuya. We've got about five or so people confirmed for both runs so far. Post up here, (or on the NWFJCC forum) if you want to go. We're meeting at the same spot as the last Stevenson run meeting place at 8 AM. No meeting place for Tahuya yet. I don't know the area well enough. If anyone here has any ideas for that, let me know. Oh, and Bobtail went out to Stevenson this week and said there is a lot of snow up there, so if you want to come, be prepared for what looked to be a minimum of 12" of snow, if not more.

So far, the list looks like this,

GPNF on the 13th

Meeting at the old gas station on the west end of town (where we met last time. It's across from the Chevron. This Google map is pretty close. Just look for all the other FJs

Yeh, I'm going out tomorrow to pick up a longer strap (the one I have now is only 20 ft. ) and a couple shackles since I've only got the one on my hitch.

Re: Two Sunday runs...

How will these 2 runs (GPNF and Tahuya) compare? Are they both snow runs? one steeper than another? One black and one blue? I am trying to pick which one to go to in case I can't do both.
thanks

Re: Two Sunday runs...

Honestly, never been to Tehuya. But from the video and from what people have told me, it is a good bit tamer than Reiter. I don't know if there's snow up there or not. Someone up there might be able t tell you. As far as Stevenson, Bobtail just posted pics from up there this week and it looked to be a good bit of snow. Like a foot or more, depending on where.

Re: Two Sunday runs...

I am going to be in the area on Sat and was wondering about Tahuya myself. Wife is at a seminar at Alderbrook Resort and Spa so I will play. Anyone have any info? I doubt there would be snow because the elevation does not look that high. If no response. I will post what I learn on Sat evening if I have time.

You're certainly welcome to come play with us. I'm trying to nail down exactly where we are going to meet. I'll post it here when I get it figured out.

They actually have 2-4 inches of snow predicted for today, but rain the rest of the week.

Re: Two Sunday runs...

I would like to throw my name in the hat for Tahuya and I will do my best to make Stevenson.
