March 8th Sand Lake run

A small number of us are heading for a run on the coast at Sand Lake on March 8th. Anyone is welcome to join us, and a few of us are camping at Cape Lookout State Park Friday and Saturday night. Come join us for some fun in the sand!

Just make sure you have an OHV sticker, fire extinguisher and a sand flag...

Re: March 8th Sand Lake run

If you are just coming out for the day on Saturday (3/8), we're hooking up at the West Winds OHV Day Use Area, next to the West Winds campground in Sand Lake, at 10:00 AM. We would have set the time a little earlier, but I wanted to give the folks who weren't camping time to get out there from the inland areas.

If you want to come out the day before, and spend the night at Cape Lookout state park, we're having some group campfires and we can all head out to the OHV park together in the morning. If you do camp, you can find me at campsite C21 by late Friday afternoon.

By the way, we will be running on channel 8 on the CB, if you get in the Sand Lake area and cannot find us.

Re: March 8th Sand Lake run

Yeah I want to second the awesome time! We also went camping with Terahex and Bored Clerk and had a great Saturday evening bonfire. It was amazing how well everyone's kids got along and made some great friendships.

I don't think any FJ's went down into the bowl, but if you scroll down through my pics, you can see someone who did and took a bad line.

Thanks to EVERYONE for coming out and making this such a great trip!!

Here are some of the pictures I took:
