Re: Anybody deal with Rodland Toyota in Everett?

I stopped in there the day that I bought my FJ back in August. I just felt dirty when I left...you know those used car lots where your being stalked by salesmen even after you tell them 'I'm just looking', but there they are following 10 steps behind you anyways...it was end of the month, '08's were starting to roll in, they had like 6 or 7 FJ's at the time and just didn't even want to think about getting me in one for less than $1000 over invoice...the salesman was a jerk and I felt like I was getting screwed so I walked out. I drove down to Magic Toyota in Edmonds and bought my FJ a couple of hours later at invoice.

I bought the FJ at Magic and do my service at Rodland. More recently, though, I did buy a 4Runner from Rodland and I don't feel dirty at all. ;-) But I suspect that's in large part because of the low key, personable sales approach of Rob Olsen. I'd buy another vehicle from Rob and would recommend him to others. YMMV.

Re: Anybody deal with Rodland Toyota in Everett?

I went to Rodland when I first started looking for my FJ and pretty much got the brush-off after spending an hour talking with a sales guy. He was supposed to call me about an FJ and never did. A week later I drove my FJ off Michael's lot in Eastgate (sister dealer to Magic). Michael's was the only place that had any and they treated me right.

Re: Anybody deal with Rodland Toyota in Everett?

I bought my 05 Taco at Rodland. Explaining everything that happened there would require about 6 paragraphs. They were rude, they had really bad communication and response times, they tried to change the price on me (After they gave it to me in writing), and they had to get the vehicle from another dealer and told me that it would take less time that it did (I was on a time table because my truck had just been rearended and destroyed so I was using a rental that was paid for by the other guy's insurance but they only supply it for so many days.) Lastly just picking the truck up took 5 hours.

I bought my FJ at Lake City. I won't buy another vehicle from Rodland because of how rude they were and all of the games they played with the price and lack of communication. I do take my FJ up there for service because they are quick and accurate, and because the service manager is a great guy who knows his stuff. He also used to offroad so he doesn't give a lot of grief about the mods I have on my FJ.
