Re: I got a New Car!

Cassidy showed me the car last night. It is very impressive in person too. That LED light bar is SO friggin bright! Very roomy too, much better space than expected inside.

good thing that Panic Button works too haha....

Re: I got a New Car!

Yes that is a bit embarassing when all the sirens go off by pushing the wrong button in a crowded parking lot. Then frantically trying to figure out how to turn it off. I did that in the Starbucks parking lot earlier in the nigt!

Re: I got a New Car!

Nice! The OSP officer I spoke with said "it'll do 150, but as you can see, it's not very good in the snow." He was stuck in the snow (ditch) on the highway to Mt Bachelor Ski resort. I had just pulled out an '07 Tundra and was offering to yank him out. Another OSP officer was on the way with chains to help him out so he declined my help. A few miles down the road I passed the unchained charger that was bringing the chains!?!

Re: I got a New Car!

Good thing we don't get much snow in Renton! The crown vics also suck in the snow even with the chains.

Hello chewey46 it appears that you have not posted on our forums in several weeks, why not take a few moments to ask a question, help provide a solution or just engage in a conversation with another member in any one of our forums?

i'm hoping that if the highway patrol go to chargers, that they use the challenger to replace the camaros.

Those camaro's are pretty sweet.

I was doing about 90 going down PCH. About 2 minutes before that i passed under an overpass, where a chp officer was standing on the bridge with Lidar thingy. A minute later a chp camaro came up behind code 3 and passed me like i was standing still. Caught up to him about 5 minutes later... he chased down a riced out civic.

Re: I got a New Car!

Steed,
Most of the Bend officers have to drive the Fords. They seem to get around ok. My neighbor is a Lt. and gets a tahoe.
How long have you been with Renton? I grew up in Kent between Kentridge and Fairwood. One of my high school classmates ended up a K-9 officer in with Kent.
I really like your rolling office. Be safe.

Re: I got a New Car!

A Crown Vic ain't got doo doo against a Charger.

We got a split fleet right now, half Chargers and half pursuit package Tahoes.

Guys love the Tahoes for the room, and they still haul butt. But everyone agrees, when you want to let loose on a shift, get in the Charger. We have ours chipped at 160. The Tahoes I think 150. The yard also disabled the button to disable the traction control.
