The weekend we hit 82 degrees, about three weeks back, there was plenty of snow up on 70.
This picture here is about 2 miles up 70 off of highway 410 and to the right on FS road 7013.
I imagine there is some snow still higher up.
I will be up there next Friday morning to Sunday for the holiday.
I am camping up there, but not sure where yet.
Cool we where hopping to get up to the gavel pit where you can shoot.

Careful at the pit, you might wanna call the Enumclaw FS office.
We use to shoot there, but they put up blocks with "No Shooting" on them.
Ideally the best place would be where Jim and I went last summer on the 72 to 70 route near the top, that big open area you can drive up into on the right side of 72 when you are going up.
That may still have a lot of snow being up high.

And Memorial Day weekend I had planned on camping right next to one of the creeks or rivers up there.
Will have to look into this, and maybe camp somewhere else that weekend.
Rivers are going to be raging up at Greenwater this weekend.

Don't get too freaked out just yet, you are looking at a commercial sensational media report
By Sunday we should have a good indication how full the rivers will be with the hot days ahead. It takes a few days to a week of steady 75-80 to create any significant more then usual spring river rise. All the the models predict a longer then usual high river condition because of the massive snow pack but unless it rains a lot right after a week or so of really hot days most of the water sheds can handle the run off. Now up in the water sheds you will get some drastic changes but not with a couple 80 degree days. Additionally the massive snow pack also restricts how much melt off can occur. The snow both insulates in this case cold and retains water so don't get out your waders just yet
I plan on going up to my secret spot right next to a good flowing creek. I expect it to be very full but not run for the hills full
The headwaters of the Green River are up by Blowout Mountian which isn't too far from Government Meadows so it is feed by snow melt from that area and then flows out past Lester, but I'm almost certian the White River doesn't flow into the Green...instead flowing towards Auburn and then forks...one fork feeding Lake Tapps the other flowing around the north end of Lake Tapps and then south into the Puyallup River.
