Re: BOISE Anyone?

I can...and I will...but unfortunately not this weekend! I already had plans to go to Cascade. There are a lot of weekends in my future with this FJ though, so I guarantee we will make there sooner or later!

PS how the heck am I supposed to concentrate on work for another 2 hours?

Re: BOISE Anyone?

Hey gpwdFJ,

Just wondering which dealer you dealt with? Tom Scott? Peterson?

Good experience?

Thanks!

I dealt with Petersons...I wouldn't say it was a bad experience, but I was disapointed that it took double the time that they said it would to get my FJC and then it didn't have all the accessories that I had ordered. It was missing the air dam and light rack on top and the rock rails.

The worst part was getting any information out of them as to what was going on. I called every two weeks and it usually took a week for them to return my call and they usually didn't have any answers.

I will say that once the rig was here, they were more than helpful. They were always friendly.

If you want to know more, send me a PM.

Re: BOISE Anyone?

Thanks GPWDFJ,

I have a deposit at Tom Scott and was told 2-3 months, but I found one on Friday in Spokane and bought it. Now it's gonna get fun trying to get my deposit back! ;-)

Re: BOISE Anyone?

I was in Idaho just last week, went to Boise a number of times but stayed the week in Fruitland. The whole trip to Idaho and back to Indiana I saw 3 other FJ's, a Sun Fusion on 84 in Utah and another On 70 in Colorado along with a Titanium there. Are they really that uncommon in that area?

Also, I would love to move out there, my wife is an RN so she can move and make the same money, I on the other hand work at a Toyota factory and its damn hard for me to find a job that pays as well someplace else.

Actually, it surprises me that you didn't see more while in the Boise area. I usually see at least one a day. On sunday I saw a voodoo blue and a titanium metalic, one in Eagle and one on the freeway (I-84). I know of 7 total in the valley.

Re: BOISE Anyone?

Guess I just got around at the times when everyone was working or something, I was suprised by the lack of them out and about.

Re: BOISE Anyone?

Hey GPWDFJ,

You don't know any good offroad install shops in the Boise area, do you?

I searched the ARB web page (thinking about an OME lift) and they list Les Schwab (which never even heard of ARB when I called them), High Mountain 4WD, and Custom Truck (which doesn't list OME on their web page).

Thanks again!

You should look up Bucks 4x4. They are on State Street. http://www.bucks4x4.com/ They are you best bet that I know of.

Hope that helps! Where are you located?

Re: BOISE Anyone?

We just moved here last winter after 4 years in Phoenix, but consider ourselves from Denver. We live near Five Mile and Amity.

I'll definitely check out Buck's, thanks.

Also, I am "assuming" you got yours on the 25th?

We're still on track for a Saturday pickup in Spokane, so we're keeping our fingers crossed.

Thanks for the help!
