*yawn* More boring Oregon scenic shots

Been a little toasty for this heat wuss, so I loaded up the dog and headed up the mountain to cool off. Here's a shot driving over Lolo Pass, elev. ~4,000', on the way to Lost Lake. Eastern flank of Mt. Hood, elev. 11,249', in background. Valley temp was 105, lake air temp 93, water temp ?, felt like a Florida bay.

That lake is cold! I've never been able to handle swimming much in there.

I saw your pictures and knew it was Mt. Hood. My sister lives in Woodland, WA and I really like to go up there. I live in Puerto Rico and here is sunny and breezee. I which to take my FJ to Washington.....

Thanks for the comments.

yoda, the FJ is dirty now! That was at the beginning of the day.

1BC, that was by far the warmest Lost Lake has felt, but that's after five days of 100+ in the valley.

We need to put together a Barlow Trail run! Maybe TLCA or others will be hosting one soon.

I've seen the signs for the Barlow Trail area but I've never been. I'd love to go. That's a trip close enough to home that I could actually go! I'm so bummed that I had to miss the Washington Trail Team deal and now I'm gonna have to miss the Southern Oregon Trail Team deal too! Is the barlow hard? We should just gather some PDX area FJ's and hit the road! If we get in over our heads, we'll just turn around and go get some pizza.

Lol...that's funny! We have two colors of water up here...blue and green. Blue is nice...green is slimy.
