Anyone dealt with these folks? Any recommendations? I just got off the phone with their ISM, and got word that my BRAND NEW FJ is coming!! Should be here on the 16th of August. I am so pumped!
I was referred to them from a Portland area dealer who couldn't get me a rig, so I don't know jack about them. Can any of you Northwest homies help me out?
Well, this ain't much: When I grew up in Missoula, I saw a good number of Appleway stickers on cars in town, and Spokane is 200 miles away. They must have been doing something right 10 years ago
I thank you for your input BigBill.
So far the negotiation process has gone well. They have basically allowed me to strip off all of the garbage (in my opinion) from the vehicle that they are scheduled to get, and put on all of the goodies that I desire. After I fly out there (sometime in the next 7-10 days) will be the true test of how well they do business.
I will post my experience upon my return.
Good luck...Appleway has a terrible reputation in Spokane. I've never purchased a vehicle from them but I've heard so many bad stories about them I can't remember them all...some so bad, that if they were the only dealer in the country that I could get my FJ from I wouldn't own one now!
I would highly recommend Steve Boyd at Downtown Toyota in Spokane, or Parker Toyota Couer d'Alene Idaho. They both have very good reputations.

Wow, while appreciate your input, I must admit my heart sank when reading your post. I really am nervous about the whole deal. I am apprehensive about flying over there and having the deal turned around on me with the end result being my wife and I flying back home with no prized FJ. But I have fully decided that at the first whiff of BS, we will promptly walk out, get a taxi to the airport and start the process all over again. I hope that this isn't the result.
What is their issue in Spokane? Shady dealing? Lying? Please any more info that you can provide may help me with my conversations prior to flying over there.
Again, a huge thanks for your post!

Sorry, didn't mean to burst your bubble, but I wanted to warn you just in case. They are the atypical car dealer and will try all the tricks so be prepared. The two most recent issues I recall was them selling a used truck that was a flood-damage rig and not telling the buyer; and the other was not honoring a warranty for a friend of mine. But I know there have been many similar stories I just can't remember them all. I've never heard of anyone getting a "Deal" from them on the price. Don't budge off MSRP and certainly don't go for the cheesy add-ons you don't need. Extended warranty is your option but don't pay more than $500 for it. It may be a plus for you that any warranty work would be done somewhere else since I specifically recall them not honoring a warrantee for a friend. Before you go, call Parker Toyota and Downtown Toyota and see if they have an FJ on the lot...they aren't that far away (10 miles) from Appleway and if your deal goes sour at Appleway it will give you a backup plan...it might give you some leverage with Appleway too if you tell them your gonna look at another one since they already know your coming from out of town. Good luck...

I was quoted 387.00 off MSRP. They let me configure the rig prior to port exactly as I wanted. I got a call today that my rig should be there between the 16th and 21st. Please see my post in dealer negotiations. That describes what has transpired to this point. Thanks again for your input. This is a great forum!
i got my fj from appleway , i wouldnt say they were the most knowledgeable folks about this vehicle.
i was treated very well though. there parts dept and service dept guys and gals are great though. i dont care for any kind of car salesperson anyways, but i felt i was treated fairly in the sales dept side.
