Re: Why you never go Wheeling alone.

I've seen some bad recoveries in my day, but standing in the direct line of fire of a snatch strap that looks worn???? Well..... not the smartest move.

Also a good thing the driver wasn't killed by the spare tire that is unsecured in the jeep and flailing around. Man..

Re: Why you never go Wheeling alone.

New wheeling peep here. Lessons duly noted, but I'll probably exhibit green-horn tendencies more than once...

With that said - NOW I see why you need a honkin' big steel bumper.

Oh man the sound of the Jeep being dragged was like fingernails on a chalkboard.

Re: Why you never go Wheeling alone.

Reading the previous posts I was sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for the SNAP, but it never came. Ugly bit of business there. A set of simple hand tools could have possibly taken care of the hydrolock issue (spark plug removal). Of course you also have to keep from making a mess with the oil that comes out (Tread Lightly!).

Damage-wise, looks like it could have been much worse. Clean up the area and git'er home to lick the wounds.

Re: Why you never go Wheeling alone.

Great video. Reminds me of the video with the kid in his dads G wagon.
