We're not camping. I'll get into my TOPO map software tonight and see what's up for FS or other off-roading adventures. When I first looked at this trip I ran into a site that said not to take a certian road as it was for 4x4's only. I need to find that again!
That's the spirit!

I'm going to have to miss this one. I'm getting my OME lift installed that day.

It will get a thorough test the very next week. In fact that is one my concerns right now. I'm driving it to Moab and then on some of the easier trails around Moab for a week. I have heard the install needs to be re-torqued after 500 miles. Since I am not able to do much mechanical work should I delay the install until after my trip? Or?

Maybe delay it a week.............this is the "send-off" run for Tim. But I'm sure it's not the last we'll hear from him.

If you are going to be in Moab, I'd think the lift would come in really handy. Ping some people on the list from Utah and see if they can recommend someone to help you get whatever you need done taken care of there.

You are going to LOVE it there. Check out the guide book by Charles Wells if you haven't already. Also, apparently there is a place in town where you can hook up with others who would prefer to go off-road in a group (one of the grocery stores).

And if you are looking for a good place to chow down, Pasta Jays is great. Good pizza and good antipasto salad.

I ended up buying a CruiseCam mount. It was half the price I spent on my previous mount and very solid and safe. It seems to work pretty well.
