GM Needs More Hummers

Just when you think they would start to produce more fuel efficient cars.

Re: GM Needs More Hummers

I heard they are thinking about a truck based Hummer and a Wrangler sized one. I say bring it on, lets see what they've got.

I'll second that. I can't believe the sales are up that much this year. The H2 and H3 can't touch the FJs mileage.

I do agree on the pickup truck version. Of course, it would obviously be a Chevy truck with a different body or something like that. There will always be a need for trucks and that would help their market share.

When they produce a Hummer Truck I will trade my FJ in for one.

JK!!! The concept does look cool though.

Re: GM Needs More Hummers

with the new engine, Hummer will have straitened out the one big drawback of the H3
other than that, they are nice for what they are, and they actually can wheel.
the H2, i would think, is doomed to the same fate as the H1, gas prices will eventually phase out any vehicle getting 8 MPG
Plus the H2 does not have a large amount of guys wheeling it. most owners do not want it to offroad, but instead for it's bling appeal and rugged image. However very few actually go offroad.
Expanding the lineup with a few more models would be a great thing. and the wrangler sized concept they released last year looks fun. Nothing but good could come from another brand entering the market with a low priced striped down basic rig to compete with the wrangler. It would help drive developement on all fronts, which would help us, the end users.

Re: GM Needs More Hummers

i think a wrangler sized hummmer would be very cool as would a pickup version.my dad wanted to buy a h3 but i talked him out of it.i told him about the weak motor and to wait till they stuff a v8 in it.i read somewhere that they will put v8's in the h3 in 08.we'll see.

So there going from a v5 to a v8 I would of thought they would have tried a large v6 first.
