Re: The passing of a son...

I tear up every time I read this thread. I never know what to say here. I can't even read a post from Bandi without thinking briefly about Ben. I hope to meet you both in person someday.
I know you have a lot of friends just on this forum thinking about you. I hope you feel the support and it does you some good.

Re: The passing of a son...

In Flanders Fields

In Flanders Fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

By: Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae, MD (1872-1918)
Canadian Army

Couldn't help but think of you when this poem was being read today, thoughts are with you my friend.
