Well today was Chemo #5!!! Over the hump! Good news today was that my blood pressure has dropped 20 points so my slow return to exercise is helping. So far so good with all the other stuff. My white blood cell count is slowly climbing which is making my oncologist very happy.
On that note, I have to brag about her a bit. She looks like Gina Davis which I think is a big help on the office visits.

Today we're starting my exam and she tells me to unbutton my shirt and I am like "come on doc, you know I only come here every two weeks for the thrill of YOU undressing me" she just rolled with it and we, along with my wife just had a great laugh that ended up with us talking about the "college days" and some of her escapades. This kind of personal approach is no doubt a huge factor in my recovery.
So tonight I had to take a single pain med and the old anti nausea med before I sat down in bed, but if that is the worst of it, I will be just fine! I'm staying positive as I can be. I am making big plans for the road trip in June and damnit, I am enjoying life. I have a shop full of radio work, I am staying busy on my full time job at the airline even though I have been given an assistant. (no, not a hot 20 year old assistant but a 60 year old with more experience on my 757's that Orville and Wilbur)
Thank you again to all who take the time to read this. Thanks to all of you for your prayers, well wishes, stories, hats, t-shirts, Facebook messages, etc. Every bit of it plays a very important role in keeping me going. To be quite honest, it would be very easy to slip into give up mode and let the cancer win without all of the positive energy I get handed on a daily basis.
