there are many many things we can do it would take pages to list them all but i will list a few ...get back to the basics of what our founding fathers wanted America to be...instill moral values into our young people (family's not government) America has become fat and lazy (not everyone) and have become to dependent on government (50 million people on food stamps) we have to change hearts and minds...pass a balanced budget act NOT spending more than you take in would be a good start...(spending 10 billion a day and taking in 6 billion a day will kills us) ol Harry Reid hasn't passed a budget in more than four years!thats crazy giving idiots like that a blank check, its trouble...cut government and i mean big chucks like the Department Of Education, EPA..fixing the tax code and 1000s others.. give more power back to the states where it should be...reforming entitlements, it has to be done or they collapse ,they may anyway...were looking at a 20 trillion dollar debt in 4 more years (and taxing the so called rich more does NOTHING to fix that)..what do you thing the dollar will be worth at that point?...cut taxes/capital gains and unleash capitalism instead of a top down approch..the government can't run anything right,name one program thats not broke? life's going to change one way or the other, we as a country can't keep giving away free stuff to people forever. look at Western Europe thats us in a few years if we don't get serious about the problems we have..will add more later..thats a start...and just getting back to some plain common sense would help also

Amazing, Bush started two unfunded wars, created an unfunded prescription program whilst reducing taxes to the lowest levels in modern history. He ran the country from surplus into deficit while at the same time relaxing regulations on banks setting the stage for the housing crash. And on top of that he ignored the intel on Bin Laden and allowed 9/11 to happen on his watch...
...Republicans in congress thru obstruction caused a credit downgrade...now they're screaming about the fiscal cliff that they helped create...
...all of that and people talk about Obama running the country into the ground...all of that and the right are amazed that the American people were clear headed enough to recognize the rhetoric of the birthers, tea party, Fox and Rush as just that empty rhetoric...
...the right has nothing to run on, they've not had a successful presidency since Regan, they've lost all credibility on defense, on the economy, on foreign policy, they've lost women voters, they've lost minorities, they've lost young voters, moderates etc etc...
...for Christ sake, the republicans insisted that we reduce the budget for Embassy security by $300M and now are screaming at Obama about the lack of security in Libya....it's just insane...their policies are so far from basic common sense they're lucky they got the one swing state they did....
...what freeking planet have people been on for the past decade...it took us 11 years to get out of the great depression when unemployment was over 10% for a decade and hit levels over 20%....and if not for WWII it probably would have continued for another decade....and the right expects Obama to fix their mess in less than four years?
