Good eyes everyone. Cool creatures. I have some serious competition from 1/2mill that posted just about every creature in the mountain West
That definitely looks like a wolf or Coyote. They tracked one or more of the Yellowstone pack in Utah so it's certainly very possible they've been in CO too!

I've still got more too. I have to get out my external hard drive and find them. I have some of moose and other animals from this area and down in the mountains. I love this area and getting to see the wildlife.
There are a few animals I've seen, but couldn't get photos as they were to fast or didn't have the camera. I used to a family of fox at work, muskrats, and coyotes. There are cougars around too along with bears that I've never caught on camera. Snakes are rare and I wouldn't have time before running off myself to snap a shot of them. Ugh. Lots of birds like I think hawks, bright blue birds, red ones, and many others in spring and fall even cranes and geese.
If you'd like cows and sheep, I can get those too. A few years ago I could have added pigs to the mix. I can pictures of the final product from the freezer though.

I have at least one that MAYBE you don't have? A black bear up close and personal, and 4 other black bears, 3 of which I have pics of. I have a really cool baby moose and Rocky Mountain Goats up close and personal too. Tons of other assorted moose, deer, bald eagles, beautiful trout, coyote, antelope, etc, etc. I even have a little den of marmots like yours.

I don't look at it as a pissing contest. I take drives out in the forest and desert to relax and think. Taking photos is part of that and I basically have been doing it all of my life to have something to remember things by. Later on I started doing it so that I could have backgrounds and screen savers for my computer and to share with people on the forum that may not have the opportunity to see the mountains or desert and the wildlife like I do. I just enjoy being outside and it's relaxing and thinking time for me. I can't do a lot of things anymore with my broken down old body and this is something that I can do. I wish I was better at it, and a little more mobile too. Probably 99% of my photos are taken either from the driver's seat or within 20ft of my vehicle.

I agree. I love the wilderness.
It's always a pissing contest with me, LOL. I mean that in a sportsmanlike way of course!
Here are some unique sightings, some in Utah, some in Costa Rica

Cool moth. I've seen quite a few porcupines but always with no camera or on the road smashed. I've been trying to get some photos of badgers. A few years ago i was on a road that was below the one bank and riding an ATV. I heard a hiss and looked to see a badger on the bank and only about 5ft away. Nasty little bastard. I haven't seen any other than dead ones until this summer. I saw 3 or 4 standing by their hole on the side of the road. I tried to get the camera but they ran inside and never came back out.
