Animals, Fish, Hunting Kills, and other You Have Encountered, Caught, Killed
Post up pics (your pics) of any creatures you have encountered while wheeling, wildlife viewing, fishing, hiking, hunting, broke into your house, or otherwise.
Bonus points if you can see your FJ or any portion of it in the pic. Bonus points if you have a hair raising story like when a grizzly bear plucked you out of your roof top tent! Or a wild pig gored you with it's tusks in Alabama!
Here's my first one of many to come, a desert big horn sheep seen from my boat on Flaming Forge Reservoir in Utah.

No pics but a big bullfrog found its way onto the hood of my truck when I was stuck in some muck. It sat there for 20 minutes as I winched out, and kept on driving. It jumped off when I got stuck a second time. Obviously it didn't want to help

or a wolf with mange.
I posted this in the FJ for hunting thread.

Went hunting today, didn't see anything I felt like shooting at. I did however find a sweet 10 point. I'm guessing some poacher shot it and couldn't find it since it was about 100 yrds from a county road off in a creek bottom. I scored it out and it looks to be 157.
Spray paint for scale.

Heres a pic from the internet of a wolf with mange. Do you think thats what it was? It was too big to be a coyote. It would be pretty cool if its a wolf cuz it was taken near Colorado Springs and we supposibly have no wolves in CO
Re: Animals, Fish, Hunting Kills, and other You Have Encountered, Caught, Killed
I'm no zoologist, but that's my best guess. Like you said it's too big for a coyote. Maybe a wild dog, but what ever it is, DEFINITELY has mange.
And just b/c the wildlife department says there aren't things in your area, doesn't always mean they aren't there. They have been telling us for years there are no mountain lions in this part of Oklahoma. But i've found the carcass of a 300 lb calf 8' up a tree. I've also heard from neighboring ranchers, that they have caught glimpses of them.

Re: Animals, Fish, Hunting Kills, and other You Have Encountered, Caught, Killed
I was out north of Rock Springs by the Killpecker Sand Dunes driving a back road past the Tri-Territory area and took a wrong turn. This guy came out and crossed the road and then posed just off the side while I snapped some photos. He would stand there and then arch his back and throw his head back and then look at me. He was only about 40ft away. I finally went down the road a bit farther and turned around. When I came back he was behind some big sage brush and came back out and stood there again. It was the day before hunting season started in that area. Some guys at work were really bummed because they had tags and never saw a thing.
These were in the middle of the road on a blind corner just north of Sheep Creek Geological Loop on the way to Manila, UT.
