Boy Scouts - What in the world is wrong with them?

Seriously? Considering changing their life-long policy? Now, I love scouting. I’m an Eagle Scout. I have worked as a Scoutmaster. I currently work with the Cub Scouts. But they change their policy because of PRESSURE!?!?!

I wouldn’t have a problem if they came out and said “we are changing our policy because we feel this is the right thing to do”. Nope, they are changing it because of pressure. How spineless and weak.

So this is the example they set for our kids. Stand strong, unless the pressure is just too much to handle.

What Tstormin said. They now accept gay leaders and scouts. Outside of how you feel about that subject, the fact that they changed due to pressure is what irritated me.

I'm a scout den leader and don't have a problem with fixing a problem-it was a problem they fixed it so be it. I think gay people have every right to be involved with kids and can teach them a lot about life and its obstacles. Just because someone is gay doesn't mean their a child molester or don't love kids because they can't have them. I'm all for fixing a wrong but agree to do it because of pressure is weak..

Yeah, it isn't the "what" they are changing, it is the "why". If it is the right thing to do - then SAY IT and stand for it!!!!

Everyone's a winner kids. What you may consider wrong others may see as right. You have to be tolerant of everyone. Don't offend anyone.
