I love the old Dremmel cut off wheels, but I EAT them. This new system looks great. Oh, no! Now I HAVE to go to Lowes. Thanks
I actually have pieces of them imbedded in my face/arms/chest.

I have way too many to list. Belt sander and disc sanders are used more than most. Sand blaster, Miller Mig, Solvent tub, gear pullers, Large compressor for painting cars, torque multipliers are all tools I'm using for restoring/customizing my bugs. Full face sheilds, goggles, gloves (neoprene, leather, rubber and other), various breathing masks, aprons, boots are probably why I am still alive to talk about it. Right now kittens™ are keeping me mentally hopeful, but I'm fading fast...

Re: Cool Tools (info and ratings)

My two favorites are a Victorinox Swiss Army "Tinker" knife and a Leatherman Wave.

I've carried a Tinker since I was 18. Those knives (on my 3rd now) have been used to cut boxes, paper, wire, tree limbs, wire insulation, fiberglass insulation, plastic project boxes, steaks, flesh, plastic, whatever. When my company started putting metal detectors in and strongly suggesting that we not bring knives in, I figured they couldn't possibly be referring to me. The Tinker gets inspected every morning by Security, but they've yet to try to suggest I shouldn't have it.

The Wave is a newer addition. I used to carry a SuperTool but it was a bit too heavy and hard to use. The Wave is gret. I really like the fact that the blades are on the exterior of the tool.

I also usually have a couple of Mini-Mag lites around. I really like the LED conversions, although the LEDs cost as much as two of the flashlights!

Re: Cool Tools (info and ratings)

I have a giant pair of Channel Lock (slip joint) pliers that are indispensable when doing oil changes. They work on all sizes of filters.

My set of Craftsman ratcheting combination wrenches are great time savers.

I bought my son his first set of tools for Christmas. 155 piece Craftsman set for $90 bucks. Real nice set.

That'd be the one. Mine's a RI, but looks beat enough to be real.

A tele through that may be one of the most amazing tones in the world.

Re: Cool Tools (info and ratings)

Another "must have" for me is called "SuperSlick Stuff". I used to get it in Ace Hardware stores in FL. Every time I go back to FL I buy the nearest Ace out. I'm down to my last can, I'll probably have to order a case. A short list of uses:

Gun cleaner
Gun protector
Wet sanding agent for metal
General Purpose lubricant
Cutting fluid for drilling Aluminum
Sticker removal
Dessert Topping
Floor Wax

Plus it smells like Citrus. Love that stuff.

Re: Cool Tools (info and ratings)

Some great tools listed, but no tool box is complete without a pair or two of Klein Linesman pliers.

I have some. They make excellent hammers in a pinch.
