Nice! The Hut rings a bell. Just from our little banter I can guess you are a Chief not an E-9! You're making me dig in my memory bank (are those Angeles City hot spots?) and some of it is frankly a little foggy at best. I know we used to hang out at Abbey Road ($2 pitchers of you choice;I think mine was LI Ice tea) and I vaguely remember meeting my commander at the Nipa Hut where he was going south on some local entertainment! It was a quick tour in the PI for me (about 1 month before Pinatubo sent us fleeing, kinda happy I made it out before I succumb to some of the activities my friends were partaking in). K

I'll bite! OSI? Ghost? Those are the only 2 jobs I knew of while active where the uniform wasn't part of the day! Curious, do tell! K

Re: Military Veterans Report

You know you have been in too long when the first ship you were stationed on is decommed. Now saying that I just read a local paper last week that showed my old ship being used as target practice for the the Navy. Been in too long.

Been in 17-18 years, Corpsman on surface and submarines. Now getting ready to leave my last "boat" and head to PA school. Keep telling the Sailors I serve with I don't know enough about medicine, so time to go back to school.

God bless those who have and are serving and also keep your head down, cause if I have to help you all I know is "Motrin above the waist, and foot powder below"

Sweet. I figured it was OSI (not too many even know about the Ghost Squadron). I had a bud @ Patrick that worked OSI and he used to have a great time at work (I use that term very loosely). K
