USMC 94-04 Some time in Sasebo Japan, then mostly at Pendleton, and deployments all over the World. Sweden is the only place I would ever care to go back too, well maybe Japan, but the rest of the places sucked..

Welcome aboard hunden, well you know what they say about duty stations...everybody got to go somewhere.
I met someone who volunteers at the Tampa VA hospital and she has a wonderful time every Sunday for a couple hours. It inspired me and I went down and registered and now do it myself. I know that alot of us feel a brotherhood and when you get out even with constant contact with your former bro's (and sisters) a void is always there.
I was amazed at how easy it is and how truly rewarding it is. Just an idea but, some of you might want to get out there and sit with some of these guys (no real skills other than listening required). It makes me feel good but, it truly makes them seem like the have a support system and someone who really gets them and lets them know that there is life after service. I'll keep you guys updated on how it goes. Take care! K
I was an enlisted M-1 Tanker (19K) Regular Army 1983-86, stationed at Ft. Hood, TX, 1/67 AR, 2AD for most of the time, then in Kansas Army National Guard for another 8 yrs during which I went to OCS and branched Armor.
