Military Veterans Report

I'd like to salute my fellow Airmen, Marines, Sailors, & Soilders! Are you active or retired? How long have you been/or were you in? I am sure there are plently of folks on this site that care. For all you active folks keep you head down; we respect & honor you more than you know! Any of you ever make it to Central, FL shoot me a PM and I'll show you the town (free ice cream at least).

Me; 11 years beating the air into submission in MH-60 & MH-53's for the USAF [CSAR & Special Operations (got out in 2000)].

Army vet; wife - Navy; father - Air Force; brother - USMC; brother-in-law - Navy; Sister-in-law - Navy; Father-in-law - Navy; Grandfathers (both sides) Army and Navy; numerous uncles - Army/Navy/Air Force; numerous cousins - same. Heck, first time I've ever sat down and written that out. Thanks for the prompt.

WOW! That is some amazing lineage. Talk about a family with a higher purpose (that is something to be really proud of). My ex is still active and I have 2 uncles and my grandfather that served but, that your family's selflessness is staggering. Thanks for responding; alot of people find it taboo with the climate in our country and around the globe to be proud of their service. I think most people probably respect their veterans even if they don't agree with the elected folks that send them into harms way. I salute you & yours! K

Thumbs up Re: Military Veterans Report

5 years active Navy, served in combat zone of North Vietnam 66-68.
10 years Reserve Coast Guard.
Finished up with 6 years Navy Reserve for Retirement.

Freedom is not free. If we don't finish the job right they'll be over here again, and make 911 look like a picnic.
