Seeing as the global warming thread didn't get too ugly, I'm going to see what you buncha monkeys do if we lift the ban on politics for a week.
Will you be well behaved and present coherent arguments backed up with facts and evidence? Or will you be a buncha poo-flingers, flinging your poo with poo-flinging abandon like the bunch of poo-flingers you are?
Time will tell.
So the barriers are down...Conservatives and Liberals, Libertarians and Anarchists, Atheists and Evangelicals....come on down and let your opinions be heard.
Here are a few things that will not be tolerated, however.
1) No personal attacks. If you find yourself attacking the person and not the argument the person is making, then you're not debating like an adult. Go back to the playground. Any personal attacks may result in a banning.
2) Pointless posts like "Hillary is teh suxxors!!!1!! lol" or "Bush is just stupid, cuz he's like dumb and stuff" or "Hahaahaha AlGore is dumb did u no he diddn't reallyinvent teh internets lol" or "Pat Robertson is the spawn of the devil OMG he is so evil" or....well, you get the picture. This certainly isn't "Meet the Press", but let's try to keep the general level of discourse civilized.
3) And yes, NoisyCow is free to post all the crackpot conspiracy theories he'd like to.
(You know I love ya Cow, you certainly keep things interesting to say the least).
So have at it. Be nice. Be civil. Be intelligent. And if you can't chime in with something that adds to the discussion, keep your damn mouth shut.
We'll revisit this in a week to see how it goes.
Edit: Oh, also, anyone who says "Why do you hate America" will not only be banned but I will personally come to your house and pee on your FJ.
