Are you religious or not religious?

I read something recently that said that upwards of 90% of the population in the U.S. has some sort of god belief. I'm just curious to see if that same percentage holds up here.

I don't want anyone to make any judgements or flame anyone for their beliefs. I'm not a believer in any supernatural powers, and I'm simply wondering how many of our members share this belief.

I realize that bringing up the topic of religion can be divisive, but the other reason I'm bringing up this topic is to see if a thread like this can stay civil. Sort of a social experiment, if you will.

Re: Are you religious or not religious?

I believe in a God, or something beyond us. Though I don't belong to any organized religion.

Re: Are you religious or not religious?

Don't necessarily like the choices. Now if you would expand it to spiritual; like believe you're a spiritual being, or not. (As opposed to religious.) And I'm not trying to me confrontational here. Just letting you know why I responded to the Thread, but not the poll. I'm a fairly spiritual person, believe in being morally good, loving, and stuff like that. But I don't believe there's a Superior Being that looks over everything, etc... What I believe is; that as long as you're doing no harm to anyone, whatever YOU believe in is okay. As soon as you impose that belief on me, (Trying to "save" me or whatever.) then you've strayed from pure teachings. Love is the answer...as John Lennon and Paul McCartney said. (And if they're not prophets...their teachings are prophetic.) And....I'm done.
