LOL. Your dad was right. My BIL keeps changing jobs every few months and he just gets LESS happy. Whenever I had bad days in the lab I'd dream of being just a simple gardener in Golden Gate Park.

I've been lucky enough to have had a number of jobs that people consider "cool". I have a cool job now as well. However, there is one constant -- It's always work. And the coolest job can suck at times.

BUT-- if you know how to work and are good at what you do, the world will beat a path to your door.

When I had bad days at my last job, I would usually think of the joy of disemboweling the indivudual or individuals that were responsible for my bad day. I would have to go walk amongst my tree plantation upon getting home from work in order to reduce the stress.

I am now self-employed and only think about disemboweling when someone doesn't pay me on time.

Well said...but they usually get through my door just to beat on me...
My daily mantra is on my sig...it has been a thought forming in my head bouncing around...it is amazing how fine the line is between humor and hatred.

I get a kick out of most everyone here being such a tight ass about who puts what written down, or who spells something wrong, or has (for god's sake) an OPINION that doesn't match theirs.

Easy way to get along with me: don't take me or anything else I post here seriously (unless specifically written).

It is a forum: a place for discussion of ideas and free will.

And yes...I'm pi55ed that I have to "disguise" my swear words with numbers and symbols, and my "egg-cup-testicle" picture was deleted. The 4 year olds in my wife's class know what a penis is...what are we trying to hide, who are we trying to kid?

HOLY CRAP I JUST WROTE A LOT...RANT OVER...BACK TO THE FART JOKES.

Re: daily deep thoughts

I've come to the conclusion that the perfect job is retirement. I want to have a boat, an RV, and just hang out, maybe fish, and drink beer. That's what my grandparents did (minus the beer part -- Mormons, LOL).

oh, and fart.

When authorities warn you of the sinfulness of sex, there is an important
lesson to be learned. Do not have sex with the authorities. That means YOU, CheFJ!

You need to learn to subvert, sabotage and destroy your enemies by more clear, more sophisticated and more effective methods than those used against you.

It may not bring ultimate satisfaction, but it does bring balance to the equation and word gets around -- people think twice before they F@*k with you and then since they treat you with some degree of civility the need to disembowel them diminishes. I don't know if this solution works for everyone but it has always worked for me.

And if you need a religious excuse for that sort of conduct - tell them you're accelerating karma.

I got this email from a friend a while back, enjoy.

1. A day without sunshine is like night.

2. On the other hand, you have different fingers.

3. 42.7 percent of all statistics are made up on the spot.

4. 99 percent of lawyers give the rest a bad name.

5. Remember, half the people you know are below average.

6. He who laughs last, thinks slowest.

7. Depression is merely anger without enthusiasm.

8. The early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the
cheese in the trap.

9. Support bacteria. They're the only culture some people have.

10. A clear conscience is usually the sign of a bad memory.

11. Change is inevitable, except from vending machines.

12. If you think nobody cares, try missing a couple of payments.

13. How many of you believe in psycho-kinesis? Raise my hand.

14. OK, so what's the speed of dark?

15. When everything is coming your way, you're in the wrong lane.

16. Hard work pays off in the future. Laziness pays off now.

17. How much deeper would the ocean be without sponges?

18. Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines

19. What happens if you get scared half to death, twice?

20. Why do psychics have to ask you for your name?

21. Inside every older person is a younger person wondering, "What the
hell happened?"

22. Just remember -- if the world didn't suck, we would all fall off.

23. Light travels faster than sound. That's why some people appear
bright until you hear them speak.

24. Life isn't like a box of chocolates . it's more like a jar of
jalapenos. What you do today, might burn your ass tomorrow.

"a PEN IS mightier than the sword" - Ron Jeremy

It amazes me how we can view death and dismemberment in media, and it is a lot more acceptable than boobies.

A personal example: In South America, my wife was revered when she was pregnant with our son...special check out lines at the grocery store, taxis would stop and kick people aside and take her around, people moved out of the way and were very polite (This, mind you, in a large urban city), and (my point) breastfeeding was the norm.
In the US, with our daughter...nope...you're not special..."F.U." fatty was the norm...the signs for 'special parking' at the grocery store were routinely torn down or vandalized...she was asked to breast feed in the bathroom at a restaurant-to which she replied that if the person ate their lunch in the bathroom then she would comply.
