If you ever find yourself in Danville, IL look up the Custard Cup.

They are only open from like May to October...something like that.
Cool and funky little molded concrete building. They've been there for over 50 years, opened in 1949. It has changed hands once I think. Recipe is the same as the original Jarling family.

Real frozen custard. Family micro business. Don't pass up the lemon flavor, it is very special. It doesn't matter if you generally like lemon flavor or not. There is nothing like this stuff.

There is also a second annex in Champaign, IL. It's the same frozen custard recipe but not quite the same charm as the Danville location.

I am going to make sure we get some more Cold Stones in the Sooner state so you can experieince ice cream the way you want it. I am pretty sure anything Jerry & Ben can do we can do better. I might be biased since they write my checks but, give it a shot. K

If you live in OK, run by the local Marble Slab for the same basic thing. Definitely awesome ice cream! I miss the slab!! They have one at the inner harbor in MD, but zero in Virginia.
