... so I hope this doesn't come off like I am a royal ass. Think of it like this - Do you have the patience to listen to your mechanic (someone you do not know) talk about his favorite food if you take your FJ in for a grinding noise?
1) With the jester in your signature...how could you be an ass?
2) People always (ALWAYS) talk to me about food, (maybe if you used a different analogy, like "a Mechanic who talks about his needlepoint".

Seriously...I look for a wide variety of information on here, not just the fart jokes, but I also contribute to the distribution of said fart jokes, because you can only discuss tire thread depth for so long before the forces of nature intervene and either your head explodes or you stop posting.

And you guys are still a few $$ short.

I agree with many of the replys here that mention the vast resource of knowledge by many of the individuals. After awhile, you can discern the ones who know what they're talking about from the ones who REALLY know what's what.

My advice, look at the thread title, maybe even the first post, if it's redundant, move on. If you see a post or a thread by someone you know is an elite machine tech, by all means open and read. These people are willing to share their hard earned, vast amounts of knowledge with the likes of the rest of us. For free.

It doesn't get any better than that.
