Toyota Runnin' Up Front in Charlotte!

Well looks like a recent engine reconfiguration to work on low end torque is paying off Brian Vickers was just leading and taking off on the field. We'll see how it all turns out but it looks like a small change has been very beneficial. He's back in the lead and taking off again in the Red bull machine. Good to see Toyota Racing Developement stepping up to keep up with their cup racing program.

I'm watching. Toyota is still learning and they made some good tweaks, that Camry is fast today.

Good race so far! Unfortunately my man jeff gordon got knocked out early :-/

I'd love to see Toyota win a race already, they need it. A 600 win would be even better!

Re: Toyota Runnin' Up Front in Charlotte!

Jeremy Mayfield has brought another Toyota into the top 10 and as a matter of fact he just led them off pit road and Vickers is hangin in there. Good to see Toyota's running well. Still have to pull for JR in that Camo #8 car!

Vickers lost his power steering, but still got two Camrys running in the top 10.

Re: Toyota Runnin' Up Front in Charlotte!

I think Toyota may intentionally not be supporting the teams as well as Chevy, Ford, Dodge so that they will struggle early.

Its really a great marketing strategy. Why? Because we Americans love underdogs, and if Toyota is always the underdog in any race they will suddenly find themselves more fans than if they came out and kicked butt like Chevy.
