My brother is a cop in San Diego and was driving on the highway one day and felt something slam into his chest like a sledge hammer. He was wearing his vest and saw some blood so he thought he was shot. When he was able to pull over he saw some feathers and found pieces of the bird that apparently had the perfect angle to fly into his open window and hit square in his chest.

Re: Bird smashes through FJ windshield blinds driver...

One of the first few weeks with the FJ and a bird slams into the top of the drivers side window/roof...nothing left but a smudge and a few feathers...

My old van was a bird magnet. Thank God I haven't been hit by one yet in my FJ.
