SFC, I know about waiting. We fired our landscaper and hired another (more expensive) who had a ONE YEAR waiting list. Wood for deck (old growth redwood!! ) gets ordered this month, work starts ~ Feb. FINALLY. The yard will cost somewhere in the vicinity of $70K. The bookcases will cost peanuts by comparison (I hope!). I want somebody good -- price is no object. But, it just means I will NEVER get any FJ mods...

Before we did countertops, my dad worked in scenery shops for movies and the theater, did structures and rides for amusement parks, and millwork for restaurants. We just don't have the time anymore to do woodworking with all the countertop work. But we can do it when needed.
It always feels better when you wait, then the payoff is better than you could have ever imagined.
Good luck with your projects, I hope they surpass your expectations. And I hope you can get some FJ mods too, at least your sliders.
This is what we were doing Friday when I got hit on. One of the many reasons we don't have the time.

The sliders were already approved; the Captain mustn't go back on his word. I just need to get my rear into gear and order them! Now that I'm back from Europe, no excuse. Maybe it'll be my Xmas present to me!
Woodsman taking a break (sans FJ) from determining which Sequoia to cut down in order to make Chick and Voodoo's furniture.

Right On!!!! And just think -- we both live in CA, and it's a GREAT place to visit! You can hit Sequoia Nat'l Park in between our homes. And we have nice ski resorts!!
Hmmmm....
Woodsman, she's been absent for at least an hour and a half after our posts.
So, you're suggesting she's busy doing "something" right now ? She must've really liked your pictures.
