Re: Does anyone have a NOKIA N95/holy &#@*(!@ it has GPS!
I just acquired a Nokia E62 (cingular) from a friend who went w/the Iphone.
My plan is to get a BT GPS (~65 on newegg.com), a 2GB MiniSD Card, smartcomgps, and then build my own topo collection for Colorado.
A little complicated, but, I like to hack away at things.

Don't have one, I spent $30 on a 2-D CB Map.
It is one that proffesional truck drivers use, big pages, easy to read and best part of all.....the pages are laminated so ketchup stains wipe right clean!
Map covers Canada and USA.

the guy that posted earlier was right google maps and a few others out there offer free gps/maps software that run on a number of phones.
mine is a blackberry 8800, posted to the dash and i use google maps for alot of things in the country and city and could use it for fjamming if needed.

All I wanted was a cell phone that called out and received incoming calls, with a little bit of memory to store phone numbers. That's it, I don't care what the ringer sounds like, whether it takes pictures, or if it substitutes as a flashlight. I have a Motorola that has all kinds of extra stuff that I don't even want to know how to use.
Then you guys talk about these new bells and whistles with Nokia, iPhone, whatever.
Why can't I get a cell phone that does basics for $20 per month, TOTAL (taxes, surcharges, fees, everything).
I bet if you guys totalled up all the communication costs you incur during one year's time (cell phone, land line, internet, gps, etc) and divided by your annual gross income, the percentage would scare you.

my bill's now about 75 bucks a month, so it's definitely a chunk of change - not crazy, but a decent amt
here's the thing with me though - I freaking love gadgets so it's worth it to me.
bad thing about my iphone - I had my email on me all last week on vacation and found that I was checking emails that came in from recruiters, etc.
I turned it off and put it in my laptop bag for (almost) the rest of the week..
